Description
TOXDetect is an at-home urine test from Mosaic Diagnostics that screens urinary metabolites associated with everyday environmental chemical exposure. One first-morning urine sample is used to assess markers linked with 19 recognised pollutants and chemical families.
The panel can help identify whether exposure patterns are worth addressing through diet, home environment changes, air-quality improvements, occupational review, or targeted clinical support. Results are interpreted in context rather than treated as a standalone diagnosis.
Markers and exposure groups covered
- Phthalate metabolites associated with plastics, vinyl flooring, food packaging, cosmetics, and similar sources
- Xylene, styrene, ethylbenzene, benzene, acrylonitrile, and related solvent or fuel-exposure markers
- 1-bromopropane, 1,3-butadiene, ethylene oxide, vinyl chloride, and 2,4-D exposure markers
- Organophosphate and pyrethroid pesticide markers
- Flame-retardant markers including diphenyl phosphate
- Acrylamide, perchlorate, glyphosate, atrazine, bisphenols, parabens, oxybenzone, and related compounds
2-Hydroxyethyl Mercapturic Acid (HEMA) may also be useful when considering acetaldehyde burden in fermentation-related patterns.
